Review for Where We Belong by K.L. Grayson

Synopsis:
I’ve tried several times to regret the events that took place on June 5, 2008, but for the life of me, I can’t. I'd never regret the pain, the suffering, or the heartache because it ultimately led me to the place I am now. And I can’t regret the place I am now. What I still can't figure out is this: how is it possible that the single worst day of my life inadvertently became the very best day?

Five years ago my life was irrevocably changed.

Seventeen minutes was all it took—
to lose my best friend…
to lose the love of my life…

Seventeen minutes was all it took for the seeds of hope—the seeds of my future—to be planted in the worst possible way.

My name is Harley Thompson, and this is my story.

Review:

This is a story about love, then loss, then love again. Harley and Tyson were the best of friends for forever. That is, until Harley realized she wanted more than just friendship. After doing the hardest thing ever and professing her love, her heart is shattered when he rejects her and then tragedy hits. My heart broke for Harley all throughout this book. After being turned down and left alone, Harley shuts down. Years later, when Tyson returns home from med school, he only has Harley on his mind, but will she allow him back in her life? Her life has changed so much and she has others to think of besides herself. She has her family and her friends to lean on, but Tyson royally screwed her up…. Not to mention what happened after he left her standing there alone and devastated. Tyson fights hard for her, but is it enough?

You’ve given me your body, Harley. You’ve even given me your heart. But that isn’t enough.”
“I want your future, Harley. I want your forever.”

I just love this book! My heart broke and there were a few tears falling here and there, but I have to say, this was a crazy emotional book. From the very beginning the sadness took over, and then there was happiness, just to be followed by more sadness. My emotions were all over the place with this one. Especially with the shocker that just threw me all off! I just couldn’t believe it!!! Oh my… yall really need to give this book a try! You need to know what happened!!! I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll keep it short and to the point. Tyson realizes he screwed up (as he should!!!), and tries his best to get his friend back. But between this mysterious person everyone keeps mentioning and Harley’s attempts to evade him and his thoughts about Harley screwing around with one of his friends, he just don’t know which way is up anymore. Luckily for him, nothing is as it seems. I mean, seriously, I was just shocked constantly throughout this book. And the end was just amazing!!!! I cried happy tears then.
I’m giving this book 4 stars!!
