Review - Sharing You by Molly McAdams

Twenty-three year old, Kamryn Cunningham has left all she’s ever known and moved to a small town where no one knows her name, who her parents are, or her social status in the horseracing world. Months after opening her own bakery and evading attempts of being set up by her new best friend, she meets Brody. Kamryn fights the instant pull between them because there’s a detail she can’t dismiss. Brody’s married.

To say that twenty-six year old, Brody Saco has had a rough marriage would be an understatement. After marrying his pregnant girlfriend, he spends the next six years in a relationship filled with hatred, manipulation and guilt involving a tragedy that happened five years earlier. When he keeps running into his sister-in-law’s best friend, Kamryn, he can’t ignore that she makes him feel more with just one look than his wife ever has; and soon he can’t continue fight his feelings for her.

When staying apart proves to be too difficult, Brody and Kamryn enter a relationship full of stolen moments and nights that end too soon while they wait for Brody to file for divorce. But the guilt that comes with their relationship may prove to be too much for Kamryn, and Brody might not be strong enough to face the tragedy from his past in order to leave his conniving wife

Sav's Review

I just sat and read this book in one friggin' sitting. It had me from start to finish. Now let me start off by telling you that this book is nothing like taking chances. Of course, it is a triangle obviously but the story couldn't be more different.

The story starts off with Kamyrn who is unhappy with her life and decides to stand up and do something about. She leaves town and completely starts her life over from scratch, and making sure all of her dreams come true in the process. She is finally.... Happy.

Kamryn's life is rocked upside down when she meets Brody. Brody is her best friends brother in law. He is such an amazing character. He is sweet and loyal to a fault but holds the guilt of the world on his shoulders. He is trapped in a loveless marriage with an evil woman and doesn't know where to begin to fix the mess that is his life.

"I wasn't looking for anyone. But this man? Yeah, I'd found everything I'd never even known I'd been looking for.... in him."

Kamryn and Brody have an instant connection that sizzled off the pages and even I could feel it. The lust is undeniable and the pull is worse than a moth to a flame. They both fight it. They fight it as hard and as long as they can but before they realize what's happening, this lust has transpired into so much more and there is nothing that either of them can do to stop it.

This is when things started to get emotional for me. This book pulled at my heartstrings so hard in times, I couldn't contain the sob that came from me. My heart broke time and time again for Brody and Kamryn.

"One day... one day we won't have to do this anymore. I'll come home to you, and get in our bed, and never leave. I swear."

Then there were times I was so angry that I wanted to punch something. I'm telling you, my emotions were everywhere.

This is a story of love and loss and two very broken people just trying to fit and make the other whole again. I absolutely loved this book. So I give it 4 stars!

(Remember this book has subject matter than some may not be able to handle so if triangles or cheating in general bother you then this may not be the book for you, but trust me, this story is amazing and so worth the pain and tears and even anger you will have throughout this book)

Review - Unintentional Virgin by AJ Bennett

Karma Points is cursed. Cursed with a stupid name and the inability to lose her virginity. She's on a mission to lose her virginity before she turns twenty if it's the last thing she does.

One night, her good friend Eva brings her to an underground club where Karma meets a tattooed bouncer. He’s far from the clean-cut type she normally falls for, which makes her think this finally might be the night she crosses the threshold of womanhood.

Excited, she goes home with the bouncer named Jax and as always, her dreams crash down once again. Jax cannot believe she is willing to give away her virginity to a stranger she met at a club. As the only son with five sisters and a widowed mom, he can't morally go through with it, even though he's never been more tempted in his life.

Unwilling to let her walk away he strikes a deal. Karma has to spend three weeks dating him and then decide if she wants to have sex or walk away.

Sav's Review

This book was an easy quick read. To say I loved it would be a stretch. Although there were parts that I did rather enjoy. Karma decides to go on a mission. She wants to lose her virginity, finally but it turns out not to be as easy as she thinks it's going to be..

I actually found Karma to be childish and obnoxious, her character bugged me to no end. Leaving dishes everywhere and pizza boxes piling up and she is twenty years old so in my opinion she should have been a whole lot more mature. Also I might add that her relationship with her dad kinda got on my nerves, normally I love reading about the bonding of parent and child in books but somethings a girl shouldn't tell her daddy, like the fact that she wants to look like a slut to lose her virginity. So yeah that creeped me out a little.

Karma and her friend decide to go out and party so Karma can find a man to lose her virginity too. While out, she meets Jax. Oh Jax is my absolute favorite part of this book. He is absolutely amazing and everything you could hope for in a book boyfriend. But there is one problem. Jax doesn't want to take her virginity so he comes up with a plan to ensure he got to know Karma better before taking her virginity. Things do get interesting but you'll have to read to find out how. As always these are solely my opinions so try it out for yourself!

This was a fast paced book but it just wasn't for me. While enjoyable, I found some parts very cheesy and predictable and Karma herself made it hard for me to love. Overall I give this book 3 Stars!!!

-LUCY-
There is a love so fierce it cannot be measured.
A heart so strong it will never slow.
There is a promise so sure it can never lie.
He promised me that love forever.
Even when it wasn't enough.

-CAMERON-
Forever. Everlasting. Eternal.
There is no measure of time.
No sounds of the ticking of a clock.
Just the rising and falling of the sun.
And our own sense of forever.

But our forever isn't always.

Excerpt Three

I see her wobble on her feet before she slowly tumbles

to the ground. Her knees give out first, then the rest of

her. It feels like I should've gotten to her earlier, but

seconds of panic took place before my mind kicked into

gear. And the rest is a blur.

Her friend's standing over us while I rest her head on

my lap. "Lucy," I say. And it's the first time I've said

her name out loud. It'd been over three weeks since I'd

learned it.

"What happened?" Logan asks her friend.

"I don't know." She's as panicked as I am, if not

worse.

"Is she dehydrated?" Logan picks up what looks like an

uneaten sandwich. "Is this hers? Has she eaten?" I don't

know why it annoys me that Logan is asking all the right

questions and all I can do is stare down at her. She's

breathing, so I guess that's something.

He drops down on his knees on the other side of her and

pours water from his bottle into his hand, and then he

runs it across her forehead and into her hairline.

"Is she alright, mate?" Jake asks. He's new and has a

weird accent but Logan seems to think he's cool so we

keep him around.

Logan does the water thing again, and this time her

eyes slowly flutter open.

And I release the breath I was holding.

"It's okay," Logan says to her, "you just passed out."

He's in her face now, and I want to punch him for being

the first thing she sees when she comes to. I was here

first; I was the one watching her when she fell. It

should have been me.

Excerpt Four

"I hate that guy," Logan jerks his head toward Jake and

a new kid.

"The new kid? Dylan?"

He nods. "He thinks he owns the school."

"Really?" I glare over at them. "Apparently he kills

it on the basketball court, but I dunno." I shrug. "He

hasn't said two words to me. He seems quiet."

"Those are the ones you have to worry about, Cam. The

quiet broody assholes get all the girls. Better watch him

around that new girl of yours."

I play dumb. "What new girl?"

"Shut up, asshole. You don't think I notice you

watching her all the fucking time?"

I lift my chin. "I think if there's an asshole in this

entire school to watch out for, it's you."

He laughs and adjusts his cap. "You don't need to worry

about me. I'm not into stealing my friend's girls." He

shoves his hand in his catcher's glove and smacks my arm

with it. "Say the word. Claim her. I promise to stay away

and I'll make sure she's untouchable to everyone else."

"I'm not an asshole and she isn't property. I can't own

her."

"If that's what you want." He raises an eyebrow. "She's

cute. In a couple years she'll be hot. Guys will be all

over her. I'm just trying to help out."

I think about what he's saying, and he makes a good

point. Only he's wrong—she's hot now. "Fine. I claim her.

She's mine."

His smirk is instant. "You can't own someone, you pig.

She isn't property."

I laugh. "Fuck you."

Jake struts over to us. "Ya reckon that new kid Dylan

can hang out with us this arvo? He seems like a top

bloke."

Logan's gaze moves to me, confusion clear on his face.

I shrug. He lets out a chuckle before gripping both of

Jake's shoulders and shaking him gently. He looks him

right in the eye, speaking slowly and clearly. "I have no

idea what the fuck you just said."

The More Series

More Than This, #1

*Mikayla*

In one night my fairytale ended. Or it may have begun. This is my story of friendship and love, heartbreak and desire, and the strength to show weakness.

*Jake*

One night I met a girl. A sad and broken girl, but one more beautiful than any other. She laughed through her sadness, while I loved through her heartbreak.

*This is our story of a maybe ever after.*

He was right. It made no difference whether it was 6 months or 6 years.

I couldn’t undo what had been done. I couldn’t change the future.

I couldn’t even predict it.

It was one night.

One night when everything changed.

It was so much more than just the betrayal.

It was the Tragedy.

The Deaths.

The Murders.

But it was also that feeling.

The feeling of falling.

More Than Her, #2

For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction." For every choice you make there are rewards, or there are consequences. It was my choice to walk away the first time. And my choice to chase her the second. But sometimes you don't get a choice, and all you get are the consequences.” "Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” Unless that someone is Logan Matthews. Because loving him didn't give me the strength to walk away. It didn't give me the courage to fight for him. And when it was over, all it gave me was a broken heart.

More Than Him, #3

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson

We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.
And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we're back.
And we're fighting.
Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.
