Review of Garrett (Cold Fury #2) by Sawyer Bennett

Synopsis:

Carolina Cold Fury star Garrett Samuelson never wants to miss out on a single minute of fun. Whether he’s playing hockey, hanging out with friends, or walking the red carpet with a new date on his arm, he lives every day to the fullest. When he meets Olivia Case, he sees someone who’s exactly his type—confident, sexy, smart . . . his next fling. But the more he pursues her, the more Garrett shares a side of himself that other women don’t normally get to see.

Olivia has been keeping a secret. While Garrett lives for the next thrill, Olivia’s not sure she’ll live to see the next day. She’s undergoing treatment for some serious medical issues, and she doesn’t have time for a relationship with no guarantees—especially one with a hot-as-sin womanizer who won’t take no for an answer. But as she gets to know the real Garrett, Olivia can’t help falling for him . . . hard. To reveal the truth would mean risking everything—but you can’t score without taking the tough shots.

Leia's Review:

It is no secret that I love Sawyer Bennett.
Her stories are the perfect balance of sweet, sassy and sexy.

Garrett was no exception to that.

Garrett is you bad-boy, one-night-stand, sex-on-a-stick kind of guy. He is hilarious and drop dead gorgeous, but he doesn’t do commitment. Ever. However, at a team party, he meets Olivia and she rocks his world. Garrett is instantly attracted to the bohemian-chic woman, and makes no bones about it. He pursues her – relentlessly.

Olivia has a lot going on in her life right now. She doesn’t have time for distractions, even if the come in the form of sexy hockey players. She doesn’t have the ability to make promises or commitments. However, Garrett begins breaking down her walls and she agrees to a date – a one night fling with the hottie from the Cold Fury.

And then the unthinkable happens – Garrett asks for a second date…..

As Garrett and Olivia begin to develop a relationship, Olivia struggles with her decisions to put her heart, and Garrett’s on the line. As the truth comes out and fears become real-life problems, their relationship is tested.

This book – gah. So good. There were times I was swooning, times I was screaming at my Kindle, times where I thought I was going to burst into tears. It was a fantastic story filled with angst and love. And the times where Olivia and Garrett were together….Oh. My. Lanta. So hot.
It seems that this series is getting better and better and I cannot WAIT for the next book!!

4.5 Stars
