Every woman wants me–except the one I sing for.
Seattle shakes with anticipation: they call it the concert of the year. They say girls are getting pregnant just thinking about my band being in town.
But when you love a girl, you don’t leave her with nothing but a ring and a promise. Any man with half a brain should know.
So what did I expect my girl would do when she saw me again?
Well, for starters, she loathes our music. Particularly the song I wrote about her.
When I sing it, the stadium is in an uproar. Thousands of fans scream my name like I’m a god–but yeah, not her. Crystal clear: the girl’s not happy to see me.
Black hair, black boots, a bad attitude, that’s her — Pandora Stone is a freaking man-eater and she’s out for my blood.
That’s alright.
Let her come at me. Because I’m out for her heart and, this time, there’s no way she can stop me.

Sav's 4 star Review

This is the fifth book in the Real series but can definitely be read as a standalone if you so choose.

This is the story of MacKenna and Pandora and a great second chance romance. Kenna and Pandora were highschool sweethearts. He was her absolute everything. They had hopes and dreams of the day that they could tell the world about their relationship. They had plans to even run away together. Just the two of them against the world because he they have each other what could go wrong, right?

That is until the day MacKenna just up and leaves. No trace of him to be found. Jerk move on his end. Leaving a pile of broken Pandora in his wake. It crushed her to the point that she never let herself be with another man. Always keeping her guard up until the day, now rockstar god MacKenna comes back in town and Pandora has one thing on her mind.... vengeance..

She wants to ruin his show and she does just that but fate is a funny little thing because Pandora finds herself in a situation where she will be stuck on a bus with Kenna for several weeks. Soon things heat up. Pandora realizes that her body still craves the touch of MacKenna but she fights it tooth and nail. Until one day she gives in. Pandora doesn't trust Kenna and he tries repeatedly to prove himself to her but she just can't get over the fear of being left again.

When secrets are revealed and their lives get rocked, will Pandora learn to open up to MacKenna or will she let her fear control her?

This was quite a good book. It had a little bit of everything. I loved that it was dual POV so we got to see each person's perspective. I also just simply loved Pandora. She had her insecurities but she was a spitfire and was true to herself always, no matter what others thought about her.

The story had several moments where I laughed out loud. The banter between MacKenna and Pandora was incredible. I love the back and forth which is exactly what they did. Overall it was quite a steamy read and it kept me intrigued and flipping pages just so I could see what the end game was. Great job Katy on yet another fantastic read...
