Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover Review by Erycka

At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

Erycka's Review
OMG! WTH! GOOD LORD! WHAT THE WHAAAT? WOWZERS!! Pick any freak out phrase...now multiply that times a thousand...and just maybe, just maaaybe you'll begin to scratch the surface for how I'm feeling right now!!!

Admittedly, although I own a few of Colleen's books, this is the first book of hers I've read. And holy Schmidt cakes. What a way to have my book cherry popped!

Whoa...just whoa. The angst, oh the angst. What does one say about a book that is pure genius...other than its pure genius?

Other CoHo fans warned me that once I read one of her books, I’d be hooked!! Well, I’d say that’s an understatement! The way she reeled me in and made me fall in love with all the characters (even when I didn’t want to), was like; “oh no she didn’t!” But she did, and did it in such a manner; I didn’t even feel it coming. One minute I was rooting for one person, and then the next minute I was rooting for someone else! All while having one great big love fest for everyone.

This book is a journey like no other that I’ve read. Sure, it has some of the same elements as other books: angst, anguish, anger, lust, love, laughter, loneliness, etc. But it has something that no other book I’ve read has…the element of music. The addition of having to use another human sense brings new meaning to reading. The lyrics are beautiful to read, but the music breathes life into them. <3 <3 <3

If you’re like me and have never read a Colleen Hoover book; NOW is the time to start you’re love affair with this beautifully talented author. And if you’re an old pro at CoHo books, don’t miss out on one-clicking at midnight! I’m sorry I waited so long, but I’m happy I was able to experience this kind of introduction!!

5++++
