My Review

3.5 Stars

This is a book about young heartache, and how hard it can be to move on from it. There are a few turns I didn't expect.

At the young age of 24, Mags becomes a widow, when her husband Randy is killed by a parachute accident. She is a lost soul, and is still grieving his loss. She has a great support system with Randy's parents, her best friend Cali and Randy's friends Walker and Mitch.
Unfortunately she doesn't have the best relationship with her mother, which leads to a pull and tug with them.

I loved Cali, she brought comic relief to a heart wrenching story. She also brought Mags back to earth when she questioned her own thoughts.

From the beginning of the book, you can feel the sexual tension that is building between Walker and Mags. You start to wonder if anything will come from it, or if it will just be a smoldering pot that will never boil over.......

On the request from her therapist, Mags finds a roommate to move in to the house. She can't think of anyone better than Walker, since he has been there for her all along. While out celebrating their roommate status, Mags has a little to much to drink and asks Walker if he really likes her, just before passing out.... The next morning, she questions what happened since she doesn't remember, and they end up kissing. Walker tells her that he has feelings for her, but won't act on them if it means losing her. Mags says she can't handle a relationship, and even though it hurts, Walker agrees to not step over the line.

The next morning, after an awkward encounter with a girl Walker brought home, things get crazy and they sleep together..... Mags can't handle what has happened, because she feels she is cheating on Randy......

Will Mags and Walker make a go for it, or will they stay just friends?

********************
At first I had trouble connecting to the characters, but then it started to click for me. It is emotional, seeing how hard it must be for such a young woman to come to terms with being a widow at such a young age

I know that my review is a little vague, but I don't want to give away too much :)
