More than this Promo and giveaway

Blurb:
*Mikayla*
In one night my fairytale ended. Or it may have begun. This is my story of friendship and love, heartbreak and desire, and the strength to show weakness.
*Jake*
One night I met a girl. A sad and broken girl, but one more beautiful than any other. She laughed through her sadness, while I loved through her heartbreak.
*This is our story of a maybe ever after.*
He was right. It made no difference whether it was 6 months or 6 years.
I couldn’t undo what had been done. I couldn’t change the future.
I couldn’t even predict it.
It was one night.
One night when everything changed.
It was so much more than just the betrayal.
It was the Tragedy.
The Deaths.
The Murders.
But it was also that feeling.
The feeling of falling.

Excerpts:
Excerpt #1:
Gwen shook her head again. This morning she was in a very reflective mood apparently. She quickly grabbed a boring light grey knee length business dress that had a high collar and tiny sleeves that barely covered her shoulders. She was just stepping into it when Cole walked into the closet.
“Hm. I think I might just never let you leave.” Cole said as he leaned against the door frame between the bedroom and the bathroom wearing a towel slung low around his hips. He had showered after Gwen. She hadn’t been able to sleep and got up early to start getting ready.
“What are you gonna do? Lock me in the closet? Heaven knows if I ate clothing I’d be able to survive a few years at least.” Gwen laughed gesturing at the large closet.

“No.” Cole said before taking the few steps it took to close the distance between them. He wrapped his arms around her waist before nuzzling his face in her neck. He took a deep breath and slowly let it out before speaking again, “I think I could wake up to see your face every day for the rest of my life. Just to find you standing in just a pair of sexy panties, thigh highs and a little bra in my closet every day, I think I just might give up everything I’ve worked so hard for in my life. I might never let you leave my life. ”

Excerpt #4:
“I thought you were no longer working as an escort.” Leanne used a louder than normal tone of voice. Gwen flinched and looked around to see if she had caught anyone’s attention.
“I’m not. I’m here with my boyfriend.” Gwen said using a much quieter tone once she saw no one appeared to be paying them any attention.
“Lucky you. Got what all of us want. Bagged one of the big boys.” Leanne sneered at her.
“I didn’t know him when I was living that lifestyle.” Gwen technically had, but she didn’t think it was really any of Leanne’s business. They’d never been close, but Gwen knew that many of the girls who escorted hoped to have one of the filthy rich men fall in love with them. Or at least be their sugar daddy who bought them expensive things. “I met him outside of escorting.”
“Mmm Hmm. Sure.” Leanne pressed her lips together and rolled her eyes before stalking off just as Cole approached.

Book Blitz- Wake up call by Victoria Ashley

Wake Up Call Book Blitz Banner Synopsis
wake up call new 2My heart stopped and suddenly it was hard to breathe. His voice always had that effect on me. It was like poison slowly running through my veins killing me bit by bit. Like a drug that I couldn't get enough of even though I was almost down to my last breath.
Jace took a step forward and grabbed my hand. He slowly trailed his fingers over my face and backed me into the wall. My heart stopped again if that was even possible. "You can't leave," he whispered. "I need you." His warm breath kissed my lips as he bit his bottom lip and placed both of his hands around my face. They were warm and soft to the touch. Too big for my fragile face, although I wanted to bury myself in them. "Breathe. There is no one here but the two of us. Breathe," he whispered.
Avery Hale had spent her whole childhood abused by her drunken, hopped-up parents. Broken from a lifetime of hate and pain she grew up realizing that trust and love just didn't exist. Not in her world at least.

I took a deep breath, leaning against the back of the shower. Was it really that obvious? "I'm fine. I'm just tired and-" "You're not fine," he cut in. "And I can't promise that everything will work out for you, but I can promise you that I will be there to pick up the pieces if they don't." He stepped up to the shower and ran his hand over the curtain, his eyes glued to mine. "I keep my promises." My heart sped up, listening to his heavy breathing from outside of the thin curtain. Suddenly, thoughts of Jace naked and sharing a shower with me clouded my mind and it was the only thing that mattered at the moment. I not only needed him, but I wanted him. I couldn't deny that fact anymore. The only thing that had been stopping me before was that I was scared. Scared of hurting Jace or possibly even myself. "I care about?" Jace's words trailed off as I slowly opened the curtain and gazed into his beautiful eyes. He stood there looking shocked and confused as I reached out and grabbed his hand. I slowly trailed my fingertips over his hand, as I looked him in the eye. He was so beautiful. Inside and out. Not a word was spoken as he stepped into the shower, still wearing his briefs and placed his hands on my face. His hands trembled as he slowly ran a finger down to my lip and bit his own. "You're so fucking beautiful," he breathed. "I want you to be happy. I want to make you happy." My heartbeat skyrocketed and my legs became weak as he leaned in and pressed his tender lips against mine. His touch was so sensual and the taste of his mouth was sweeter than sugar, causing me to run my tongue over his lips to get a better taste. I watched, holding my breath, as the water dripped over his perfect body, soaking the briefs that he still wore. It turned me on. The whole room suddenly spun around us as my hands trailed over his bare chest, rubbing his smooth flesh, before resting on the outside of his wet briefs. The feel of his hardness made me moan. I felt my body start to shake uncontrollably as he gripped my wet hips and swung me toward the back wall with passion in his eyes. We both let out a low moan as he pressed me into the shower wall and roughly bit my bottom lip. "Are you sure that you're ready for this?" he questioned running his hands up my face. "Because once I start, I won't be able to stop."

Review of Broken Ever After by Natalie Graham

A gripping story of a student/teacher relationship that leaves you wanting more.

Broken Ever After is the story of Olivia Stevens. Olivia has been harboring a crush on her math teacher, Jamie Matthews for years. She falls in love with him from a distance her entire time in high school, until one day Jamie makes it obvious that he returns those feelings. And so – with a week left in high school, Olivia and Jamie embark on a secret affair.

But Olivia has a haunting past. A past that left scars that are still affecting her.
Olivia also has an ex-boyfriend that refuses to let go, and is doing everything in his power to make sure that he gets her back.

And Jamie has secrets. Ones that he isn’t willing to share for one reason or another. But he loves Olivia, and fights for her – and for them – to keep them together.

As the past catches up with Olivia and Jamie’s secrets are slowly revealed – their relationship and commits are tested. It’s brought to the breaking point, and you just don’t know if they are going to make it.

Olivia is threatened by the ghosts of her past and is put under the protection of her Uncle Austin and his bodyguards, including the super sexy Riley.

The second half of this book is an action packed, fast paced ride that keeps you guessing. Even though some of your questions are answered, as more things are revealed – the more questions you have.

I will say that I was highly irritated by Olivia’s parents. Given Olivia’s past – I was infuriated that they didn’t spend any time with her or keep a closer eye on her. Her father is a doctor and her mother is a nurse. Both are very career driven individuals who spare little to no time to be with their damaged daughter. I understand that in order for the relationship to develop between Olivia and Jamie she had to have some sort of “freedom”, but given Olivia’s past – I can’t see ever leaving my child so……on her own.

There were a few things that you probably need to be aware of going into this book – it is written by a British author, so there are some things that as an American reader I didn’t understand. For example, it is referred to constantly that Olivia is in “sixth-form” in school – which to Americans is the equivalent of a high-school senior. Most of the things mentioned, you can figure out in context – but it’s just something to be aware of going in.

Overall, this book was a wild ride of emotions that left me spellbound. There is no real cliff hanger, which being the first book in a series, makes me happy. However – that doesn’t mean that all your questions get answered in this book. I still have so many thoughts spinning, so many questions unanswered, and just enough suspense to have me waiting for book 2.

  My review-
Ok let me start by saying that if spousal abuse or rape are some of the things you can't personally read about then this is NOT your book.

This is the story of Elleny and Trevor (TJ). These 2 grew up together and loved each other since second grade. Perfect romance you say? Ummm yeah it was totally perfect until one day when Ellie has to make a decision. Ellie and TJ were both young and she loves him so much that she doesn't want to hold him back. She wants him to live his life and not be forced to stay behind and resent her because of it. So her and a "friend" Bear make deal. She is to marry him and he will keep her secrets safe but she can never speak to TJ again.

BEAR IS A DOUCHEBAG I HATE him!!!! He was jealous of TJ all his life and was secretly in "love" with Ellie. He thinks his plan is genius and he can take everything that matters to TJ away. But what happens when his  plan backfires?? When Ellie never loves him like she did TJ or when she dreams of TJ and calls out his name? That my friends is when hate is formed complete and utter hate! So he starts abusing Ellie, mentally AND physically. Raping his wife to hurt her for not loving him. Ugh ugh ugh I cried SOOOOOOOOOO much for Ellie. Some people say that women who stay in that are stupid blah blah but honestly Ellie (like any other woman) was broken down. Made to think that she can't do any better, that she is the trash he tells her she is, and that he will kill you or kidnap your kids. That is why she ( like many others) stay in these things because they have no hope.

17 years later she runs up on TJ and all her love and memories come flooding back in. TJ is amazing. I LOVE LOVE him. He and her have to work together but can Ellie stay professional and keep her secrets hidden from the man that still loves her and still wants her? Can she keep it all tucked away or will TJ change her life forever?

He wiped the tear from my face and licked it off his thumb as he whispered. "Let me put you back together. Babe, you're not broken your just damaged. Remember... bendable.... not breakable." he said as he kissed my nose.

"I promise to be anchored to you forever and always"

This book caused a whirlwind of emotions for me. It's not easy to read about something so real and something you know happens daily to some people. This book helps you see that you don't have to stay in this, that there are options and you can be saved even from you're personal hell. I loved the main characters and I felt connected with them and the story and I HIGHLY recommend this book!! 5 breathtaking stars to Personal Experiences!!

I live In Abilene, Kansas with my husband, Jesse and my two boys, Hunter (4 yrs) and Ty (1 yr). I grew up in Morrill, Nebraska where my family still ranches and farms in the panhandle. I have a Bachelors in Agri-Business and Finance as well as a Masters in Business Administration. I stay at home during the day with my boys and at night, I am an assistant manager for a local hotel in Abilene.
I started writing romance novels four years ago when Hunter was born. I have always loved to read and Historical Romance, mostly set in Regency England, was inspiring. Suddenly there were characters developing, evolving and speaking to me. I just started writing. I had no idea what I was doing. I let the characters tell their stories. I knew that I wanted my characters to be deeper than the flighty debutantes and random rakes of the time period. I wanted real problems to come to light.
My first novel is Rockwell's Lady, Historical Regency Romance, and was published July 2013. To Right A Wrong is another Historical Regency Romance, was just published September 1, 2013. I am currently working on a Contemporary Romance, Black Hills Angel, set to release December 2013.

The second Greg locks eyes with Meli, he knows that she is someone he needs. Someone he craves. Meli knew the second she met Greg that he would be nothing but trouble and heartache. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her ereader attached. As an ex-reviewer and blogger, Harper's passion for reading runs deep. It wasn't until 'Axel' decided to take up residence that she realized her true calling.
She started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn't take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.

REVIEW
Holy Hot Alpha Male!!

What can I say? I devoured this book…I’m talking up until 3:30am, need an IV of coffee to make it through Monday, but it was so worth it devoured.

Greg Cage. Mmmmm. I had a crush on Greg Cage in Axel (Corps Security #1), so I’ve loved him for a while now. And he didn’t let me down. Not for one minute.

Cage has had a hard run of things. After he lost his sister to an abusive husband, he chases the man responsible with vengeance. He is driven by revenge. To the point of sacrificing a normal life and stable relationships. But what happens when the revenge you seek is a ghost? How do you let go of guilt that was never yours to bear?

Melissa is haunted too. She doesn’t trust men. Why? Because her dad was a piece of work, and her sister was also killed by an abusive husband, leaving her and her mother to care for her orphaned nephew, Cohen. She doesn’t let people in. She refuses to be weak and she refuses to ‘need’ anyone.

Greg and Melissa meet and it is insta-attraction. Greg Cage screams alpha-male, and Melissa refuses to become the weak woman that she thinks all alpha-males need in their lives. So she fights this attraction. Hard.

But Greg has his sights set on Melissa, and he doesn’t give up. And honestly, who can resist hot, sexy and unbelievably swoony Greg Cage for long? Yeah, that’s right – Nobody!

“ ‘Whatever this might have been for you before now baby, there is no trying or going slow. I know you felt it; it was all over your face. I feel like I just found a piece of myself that has been lost forever.’ ”

I read with open fascination as Greg and Melissa embarked on their relationship. I loved every minute of it. There is so much passion, I swear to you, I thought that my kindle would spontaneously combust. There is angst. But there is also humor.

“I turn an jump slightly when he smacks my ass, but when we both hear Cohen laugh, we both look over at him. ‘Told you that you were going to go to time out! You shouldn’t look at wieners Melwee.’ ”

And a secret. A secret that Cage is keeping from Melissa. A secret that could tear them apart.

BONUS! Okay – I have seen other authors mention characters from other books – talk about other books in their books, but Ms. Sloan – she brings us Braxxon Breaker!! (Braxx is from Seize Me – if you haven’t read it, you need to, it’s fabulous).
She doesn’t just talk about Braxx. Oh no – he is in the book! Squuuueeee! *fan girls*

“ ‘Breaker.’ I hear snapped through the line.
‘It’s Cage. Break….Neck. Fucking Breakneck’ ”

Drama unfolds page by page and you are sucked into this story from the minute you start. Thank you to Harper Sloan for including all of the other much loved characters from Corps Security!! (Including Sway – eeeep! I love Sway). This book doesn’t disappoint at all! It is a fabulous read that will keep you guessing from one page to the next. I highly recommend it!
